The symposium “Budućnost vodenih svjetova” / “Waterworld Futures”, organized by DeltaLab – Center for Urban Transition, Architecture and Urbanism at the University of Rijeka, brought together the second generation of Urban Studies interdisciplinary students, as well as researchers, and practitioners with the aim of reflecting on the future relationship between Rijeka and its aquatic landscapes through interdisciplinary discussions on urban development, ecology, infrastructure, and water. The three thematic panels of the symposium, namely Planning Voids, Planning Uncertainty, and Pre-Spatial Planning , emerged from interdisciplinary workshops conducted by Jana Čulek as part of the Edutopia project, where students developed and articulated their own fields of interest into broader speculative questions intended to open dialogue with experts from different disciplines and professional backgrounds.
The student group consisted of Tomislava Blatnik, Heda Čabrijan, Darija Dobrila, Marin Nižić, Ana Orlić, Bruno Stemberger, Sara Stojaković, Branka Tokić, Sanjin Vranković and Borna Žganec.
